August 16th Worship
We Gather
PRELUDE
Alleluia! Alleluia! Give Thanks - Donald Fishel
Musicians: John Calkins and Matthew Kauffman
WELCOME AND CALL TO WORSHIP
Let us worship God.
Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
All who worship God, come here and listen; I will tell you everything God has done for me.
I prayed to the Lord, and I praised God.
If my thoughts had been sinful, God would have refused to listen.
But God did listen and answered my prayer.
Let's praise God, who listened when I prayed!
Let's praise God who is always kind.
May God's amazing grace be with you!
May God's robust peace be yours!
Let us worship our living God!
Let us worship together our God!
TIME OF PRAYER - We Tell the Truth About Ourselves and We Turn to God
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us for our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
