Debbie

My name is Debbie (she/her/hers) and I am the Pastor here at Grace.

Debbie's Story

“Debbie” as she prefers to be called, comes to Grace Presbyterian Church by way of Chicago, IL. where she has served in a variety of congregations and specialized ministries for the past 30 years. She is a graduate of Warren Wilson College (’82) in North Carolina (ask her about it, she’d love to tell you more), and Princeton Theological Seminary (’86), serving churches in Glenside, PA and Ely, IA before heading to the Chicago area. She grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, going to the Jersey Shore for the summers and weekends. Answering God’s call to serve the Grace Presbyterian Church enables her to be near her family of origin, reconnect with old friends, and enjoy NJ once again, though she continues to hold dear a large and loving family in Chicago. Debbie was married to The Reverend Amy J. Snedeker (PTS ’88) for 30 years before her passing of cancer in 2015. Debbie's ministry has focused on churches in transition. “I love the family size church, knowing everyone, needing everyone, enjoying all ages.” Debbie seeks to serve churches working to reflect the love of God for all people, “It is what draws me to Grace Presbyterian Church”.
